Margaret made her debut with her new horse, Tara was champion, Amelia won her first class with her new horse, Dr. Deb had a huge victory in the classic, but most outstanding of all was the fantastic win by Kevin & Oso in the $50,000. Grand Prix of California sponsored by Mary’s Tack & Feed.

Our show at Hood River was as amazing as always! We enjoyed all of the great restaurants, weather, and beautiful atmosphere. This year was Maplewood's biggest show at Hood River, with 23 horses! Everyone had a great time and had a very good show and congratulations to Deb Watkins for such a great round in the mini prix!

The 2006 Awards Banquet was held at a new location this year, Viaggio's. With excellent food and a cozy banquet room, this restaurant was a hit. Dean Tsuda returned as master of ceremonies announcing all of our annual awards, as well as many new awards.

New Year's Eve Julie hosted the first annual Maplewood Holiday Reunion for Alumni riders of the 80's!! About 25 people attended this nostalgic event. It was a wonderful time of reminiscing by all. This will become an annual event and we will try our best to inform as many past clients as possible. Thanks to Kathleen Miller for pushing to make it happen! Anyone with information about names and whereabouts of possible attendees should email Julie at mwstables@aol.com.

October 7 & 8 Maplewood had our annual Open House. We had an amazing turnout, largely due to a great article that was in the paper earlier in the week. Besides stable tours and pony rides, staff displayed the 2006 foals and free-jumped the 2004 & 2005 youngsters by Osilvis and Cartouche Z. Kevin and Julie did a jumping demonstration on the stallions that was the highlight of the two-day event.

September 11th Maplewood hosted the 2nd annual Rheinland Pfalz-Saar International Inspection Tour. Over twenty mares and foals were approved with high scores! This is such an educational event, we welcome and encourage spectators.
