Interns work six days per week with duties ranging from everything to stable management, riding, teaching, showing, starting young horses, as well as breeding, foaling out mares and more.
Interns benefit from classroom lectures, clinics, daily lessons, presenting sale horses, and all other aspects of managing a stable. There is hands on experience with marketing, public relations and business management. Interns work in event organization, running children's summer camps, managing horse shows, hunter/jumper course design and judging.
Interns that complete 2 or more years in Maplewood's Intern Program will have assistance in finding a job in the industry.
Management reserves the right to refuse or excuse anyone from this program at their sole discretion, including but not limited to behavior, tardiness, attitude and lack of professionalism.
Internships are available at $1000* per month with a 6 month minimum commitment. Payments are to be made in advance for each 6 month increment. Tuition is non-refundable for any reason.
Shorter periods are available for $1500 per month upon approval.
