Several Maplewood horses, clients and interns headed to wine country June 16-20 for the Sonoma Classic horse show. The new facility had great footing, a nice layout, schedule and great management.
Besides enjoying the competition our group was treated to a great evening in San Francisco. Walter and Debbie Haub were our hosts. They took us on an exciting and informative tour of the city and wined and dined us at a fun restaurant downtown!!
Taylor Dawson had a fantastic show on Leon! Her debut in the USET Talent Search earned her a first place award!! The pair was also 2nd in the WIHS Jumper Phase, WIHS Hunter Phase, and WIHS Overall. Taylor was also 5th in the USEF Medal, Nor Cal Medal and ASPCA Maclay Medals. Congratulations!!
Ali McCool and Festiva were reserve Champion Jr/Am Modified Jumpers- with a first and a second place in the division.
Ali was also reserve Champion in the Equitation division 18-35 with a first and a third place in the division aboard her hunter, Homestar Runner. She was also 4th in the Ariat Medal, and 2nd in the Adult U/S, as well as numerous ribbons in the division.
Leslie Haub and Balius were 2nd in the 1.m low child/adult jumpers.
Matt Wildung and Ostello were 3rd in the .95m jumpers.
Julie and Momentum were 4th in the 1.05m jumpers.
